| Glen Affric in the Scottish Highlands is a fantastic area to look for Dragonflies, the terrain is hard going but the species list is so impressive it is worth the effort. This is an image of a Male Downy Emerald, I was watching this one hawk up and down its breeding loch and every time a cloud would past over, it would settle in the surrounding vegetation. I gave it time to settle and approached slowly making sure I didn't disturb any of the vegetation. |
