Animal Portraits Highly Commended, British Wildlife Photography Awards 2010
This image of a young Grey Seal has also been highly commended in the British Wildlife photographer of the Year awards in the Animal Portraits category. This image was taken on the Lincolnshire coast last December and shows how hard the living conditions are during the first few weeks of a young seals life. The wind was blowing very strong and every now and then would whip up the sand and the Seals got lost in this mini sandstorm. This image was also chosen for the front cover of the flagship book that represented all the winners and images that nearly made it.
