Image of the Month
During the first part of December the UK was hit by a blast from the Arctic. Everything came to a standstill and everyone was moaning about another cold winter. Not me because I just love the white stuff and I am desperately trying to get to all corners of the UK to photograph subjects in it. I had already come across a great location for Short-eared Owls and as soon as the snow arrived I was up there in a flash. The road was completely blocked so it meant a long walk in to get to the Owls favourite hunting spots but it was worth it. I then spent the next three days photographing this beautiful bird in this winter wonderland. Certainly one of the highlights of what has been a very productive year.
